Castle Hills HOA is Hiring a Lifeguard - The Lakes at Castle Hills Near Lewisville, TX

Responsible for the safety of all Members, guests and Employee Partners in and around the swimming pool during posted hours of operation and special events or private functions. Red Cross Guard Certification.

 ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

  1.  Ensure all aspects of pool safety by enforcing all pool rules and Club policies. 
  2. Observe and enforce swimming pool hours of operation. 
  3. Register all Members and guests entering the pool area in order to monitor pool usage. 
  4. Maintain cleanliness of pool deck, lounge chairs and tables to ensure the safety of those in the area. 
  5. Turn in swimming business, charge slips, checks, etc. on a daily basis so that there is no delay in processing. 
  6. Straighten pool furniture and clean all pool areas at the beginning of each shift, throughout the day and at the end of each shift so that the safety of the members will be protected and the pool area will maintain its polished image. 
  7. When multiple lifeguards are on duty they must be positioned strategically away from each other, ensuring all blind spots of the pool are being observed. One lifeguard must be in the lifeguard's chair at all times during weekends, holidays or at the discretion of the General Manager. 
  8. Unlock pool office and open restrooms at the beginning of each shift, ensuring cleanliness and neatness. Lock pool office at the end of each shift, turning off lights. Lock pool gate at the close of each shift. 
  9. Be dressed appropriately in uniform at all times while at work and on club property. 
  10. Replace lane lines and lane line spool in storage closet when not in use. 
  11. Lifeguard must take breaks only when another guard is present to guard and assume responsibilities. This includes meal breaks, restroom, etc. 
  12. Maintain positive and friendly relations with Members. Promote club events.
  13. Partner with fellow Employee Partners to provide the three steps of service (warm welcomes, magic moments, and fond farewells) to all guests.
  14. Responsible for seeing that daily assignments is completed in their respective areas, to meet Club standards and as communicated in the Star Service FOCUS expectations (ie orderly/organized work areas, straighten/arrange entry area, straightening/stocking of golf shop, etc.).
  15. Assist fellow Employee Partners, Members and guests to ensure delivery of the 3 steps of service without being directed. Be aware of team members and the environment and participate as a member of the team.
  16. Notify supervisor of Member/Guest complaints at the time they occur. Rectify, practicing service recover, any complaints as soon as possible. 

OTHER ACCOUNTABILITIES

  1. Because of the fluctuating demands of the company's operation, it may be necessary that each Employee Partner perform a multitude of different functions; therefore, as an essential part of your position, you will be expected to help others when the occasion arises, just as other Employee Partners are expected to help you. Accordingly, you may be expected to perform other tasks as needed or as directed.
  2. Adhere to all of the various company, club and department written mandatory standards of operations, policies and procedures, manuals, memos, oral instructions, etc., all of which go to make up the essential functions of the job. 
  3. Ability to communicate effectively with proper grammar.
  4. Ability to work well under pressure, coordinating multiple tasks at any given time 
  5. Ability to focus attention on detail.
  6. Responsible for maintaining good conduct and safe working habits while in all areas and assuring others are acting safely. 
  7. Attendance at daily line-up and participating as requested. 
  8. Wearing a CLEAN and neat uniform that follows CHGC standards daily.

REPORTS DIRECTLY TO: Pool Manager 

EDUCATION: Completed or enrolled in high school or college preferred 

CERTIFICATION/LICENSE: YMCA/Red Cross or Ellis Lifeguard Training, American Heart Association/ Red Cross CPR, Red Cross Standard First Aid (required)

WORKING CONDITIONS/ENVIRONMENT: High temperatures (100-110 degrees) Outdoor in sun light
