Castle and Key Distillery is Hiring a Hospitality Associate (Part Time) (Bartender) Near Frankfort, KY

The Castle & Key Hospitality Associate is expected to exemplify everything the brand represents in terms of overall behavior, quality of execution, good taste, professional image, and discretion. The Castle & Key brand pays homage to history while creating a modern and high quality product and experience for all Guests visiting the property. Through our team members and our products, Castle & Key will foster an image of luxury, thoughtfulness, approachability, ultimate hospitality and elegance.

The primary role of the Hospitality Associate is a rotation role that supports our greeting areas, tasting room, and Counter 17, Castle & Key’s walk-up bar. They should engage in building relationships with all guests visiting the property and leverage opportunities to share the history of the facility and connect their guests with the Castle & Key brand story. The Hospitality Associate is expected to maintain the seamless operation and cleanliness of all public spaces. This position will require a high level of flexibility and the ability to support several areas of the Hospitality operation. This position will be required to be “on-stage” for the majority of their shift.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Entry Level Position
  • Hospitality experience of at least 1 years in a fast paced environment
  • High School Degree/GED required, Associate's Degree preferred.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to deliver and take constructive feedback
  • Collaborative approach to work
  • Weekend and Holiday availability and flexible schedule required

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Extended periods of sitting, standing, walking, viewing a computer monitor may be required
  • May be required to push, pull, lift objects > 50 pounds
  • Exposure to extreme weather and temperature conditions (heat, cold, wet)
  • May be required to climb a ladder or crawl into confined spaces
  • Travel by car, bus, train or plane may be required
  • Off hours, including nights and weekends may be required

DETAIL OF RESPONSIBILITIES

Specific areas of responsibility include but are not limited to:

  • Greet all guests at several reception checkpoints throughout the property and answers all incoming questions
  • Assist in service of food and beverage offerings from the Counter 17, Castle & Key’s walk-up bar.
  • Engage in ongoing education of all onsite cocktail, beer, wine, and charcuterie offerings
  • Prepare tasting areas, drinkware, and bar tools for tours throughout the day cleaning and prepping multiple times per day as determined by experience schedule
  • Responsible for the upkeep and cleanliness of public spaces on property by sweeping, mopping, restocking, restroom checks and additional cleaning tasks as they arise.
  • Exhibit high levels of knowledge regarding Castle & Key’s history, property, and spirit portfolio
  • Escalate any guest concerns or feedback to the supervisor on duty and maintain a pleasant and hospitable demeanor at all times.
  • Adapt to the needs of guests as they arise
  • Display a prioritization of hospitality and guest focus
  • Assist with on-site events, as needed

  • Rotating weekends
