Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 / hour

Job Description:

The Bartender plays a key role in the success of our establishment as he/she interacts with guests in a friendly and outgoing manner at all times. The Bartender will guide guests through the menu, suggesting specific items to them in order to enhance their experience. This person prepares and serves drinks to guests, following standard recipes and guidelines.

Responsibilities:

• Possess drink recipe knowledge and be able to mix drinks accurately, quickly, and without waste.

• Suggestively sell and serve drinks and food to bar guests, while providing a 5-star experience at all times.

• Observe guests to respond to their needs and ensure total guest satisfaction by serving all items in a friendly and timely manner.

• Follow alcohol awareness procedures for preventing over-intoxication of guests and properly handling an intoxicated guest.

• Participate in and pass alcohol awareness and safety training classes

• Maintain a safe and clean environment for guests and team

• Stock and prepare garnishes for drinks.

• Maintain an adequate supply of ice, glasses, and other bar supplies.

• Responsible for ordering and maintaining an inventory of liquor, mixes, and other bar supplies.

• Collect payment and operate P.O.S. computer quickly and efficiently.

• Balance and secure all moneys at the end of shift.

• Adherence to all company and safety policies and procedures.

Education/ Experience:

• 2 or more years’ experience as a Bartender in a high-volume, upscale environment

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Excellent communication and hospitality skills

• Must be able to clearly and effectively communicate English.

Physical Demands:

• Must be able to walk and stand for hours at a time. Lift and carry up to 30 lbs.
