Job description

Nassau County health care consulting company providing consulting services to LTC facilities throughout New York State and Connecticut seeks full-time in-house attorney to oversee PL/GL claims docket.

The candidate must have a minimum of 3-5 years of litigation experience, including, drafting, conducting depositions, hearings, arbitrations, mediations and trials, and possess effective communication skills, both written and oral.

Negotiating and decision-making abilities are essential and candidate must possess the ability to research, investigate and analyze issues in order to offer the company well-reasoned, strategic solutions.

Candidate will be responsible for gathering relevant information, conducting witness interviews, drafting pleadings and discovery, taking and defending depositions, responding to subpoenas and court orders, attending court hearings, presenting the company’s position to state and federal judges, and negotiating settlements with opposing counsel. Candidates with knowledge of health care law will be preferred.

Must be a member of NYS Bar in good standing.
