Job Title: Housekeeping Supervisor
Job Description: As a Housekeeping Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the
cleanliness and organization of the assigned premises, ensuring a high standard of
cleanliness and sanitation is maintained at all times. You will lead a team of
housekeeping staff, providing guidance, training, and supervision to ensure efficient and
effective performance. Your role will involve scheduling, inventory management, and
coordinating with other departments to meet the needs of the establishment.
Responsibilities:
1. Supervise and coordinate the activities of housekeeping staff.
2. Train new housekeeping employees on cleaning procedures, equipment usage,
and safety protocols.
3. Inspect rooms and public areas to ensure cleanliness and compliance with
established standards.
4. Oversee inventory management of cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring
adequate stock levels are maintained.
5. Develop and implement cleaning schedules and procedures to meet operational
needs.
6. Address and resolve customer complaints and requests promptly and
professionally.
7. Collaborate with other departments such as maintenance and front desk to
ensure seamless operations.
8. Monitor and enforce safety regulations and procedures to maintain a safe
working environment.
9. Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to housekeeping staff.
10. Participate in hiring and onboarding processes as needed.
Requirements:
1. Proven experience in housekeeping or a related field, with at least 2 years in a
supervisory or leadership role.
2. Strong knowledge of cleaning techniques, chemicals, and equipment.
3. Excellent organizational and time management skills.
4. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
5. Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
6. Attention to detail and high standards for cleanliness.
7. Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
8. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
9. Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures.
10. High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in
hospitality management is a plus.
