Under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN), the Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides routine care, observes patients’ health, assists doctors and registered nurses, and communicates instructions to patients regarding. LPNs are responsible for supervising and delegating tasks to the nursing assistants or aides who work under their direction. The LPN evaluates and reports any changes in the residents’ physical or mental condition to the appropriate personnel and maintains the residents’ medical records in a confidential manner.
