The schedule for this position is Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. It’s a floating position that will work shifts at four health centers in the Portland Metro area. Additionally, there’s an extra $1.00 Float premium added to the base pay. Swing shifts come with a $1.00/hr shift differential.

Under General supervision, the Safety Specialist is responsible for all aspects of staff and client safety at Cascadia’s Health Center sites, while supporting a Trauma Informed Care environment. With the high prevalence of trauma among individuals receiving mental health services, it is required the Safety Specialist understand the effects of trauma on health, coping, and other aspects of the lives of those we serve. The Safety Specialist is also responsible for the security of all Cascadia property, vehicles and real estate at the Health Center sites.
All incumbents must understand, appreciate and respect the diversity and cultural differences within our Cascadia community. It is expected that there is an awareness and sensitivity to the perspectives and perceptions to those we serve, as well as our colleagues. As Cascadia is Trauma informed, the incumbent must support a Trauma Informed Care Environment. With the high prevalence of trauma among individuals receiving behavioral health services, it is required that the incumbent be aware of the effects of trauma on health, coping, and other aspects of the lives of those we serve.
