Identify any unsafe condition(s) of machine and/or support equipment and notify maintenance or your supervisor immediately. Stop unsafe equipment from operation and lock out from power source.
Set up, start, operate, and troubleshoot molding machines, automation/robots, support
equipment, and associated processes, and verify documentation for the job being installed or started.
Before starting the machine, clean all areas of the machine including bed, floor, and table of
items from the previous run. Support equipment, documentation, and packaging from the previous run should also be put away before starting the machine.
Inspect mold for damage and lubrication of guide pins and bushings before starting.
Check machine settings against the approved setup sheet attached to the manufacturing
plan.
Provide instruction to the operator any additional information not covered in the work
instructions and observe correct sequence of manufacture by operator.
Troubleshoot and adjust machines as required to produce parts in accordance with the work
instructions and manufacturing plan in a safe manner.
Act as a relief operator for breaks or as needed.
Complete paperwork to identify first off part, last off part, initial manufacturing plan, etc.
before releasing machine to operator.
Check that parts are being produced at a rate that meets or exceeds the standard listed in
the manufacturing plan, including part and shot weight. Fill out a BOM change request form if necessary.
Contact supervisor if parts being parts being produced exceed scrap rates listed in the manufacturing
plan or are excessive at start up.
Document and submit process deviations that exceed the operating range established
production runs.
Proficient to start up and troubleshoot all auxiliary equipment
Proficient to build and troubleshoot EOA equipment
Startup Robots/automation basic troubleshooting
Provide training information and act as a resource to PMT1, PMT2 positions.
Stay up-to-date with technical developments and apply relevant knowledge to your job.
