Research & Development Machinist

For over 75 years Cascade Pump has been a leader in Low Lift high volume Industrial water pump manufacturing. We are looking for a CNC Machinist to program and operate horizontal and vertical Lathes for production of large industrial water pump parts.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Fixturing setup.
• Tooling selection and management.
• Run production parts.
• Inspect parts to print.
• Communicate machine and manufacturing issues with management. 
• Operate Fanuc Control. 
• Indicate large castings to ensure all dimensions are met. 
• Minor program editing. 
• Comply with company's procedures to use and save programs into program libraries. 
• Assist with fixture design to minimize set-up times. 

Skills Required:

• G-Code programming experience - is a Plus.
• Use of precision measuring equipment.
• Willingness to run production parts.
• Conceptual skills.
• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to read Blueprints and understand GD&T.
• Basic math and algebra.
• Experience machining castings and fabrications.
• Knowledge of parametric and macro-B programming - is a Plus.
• Multi axis/ Y axis programming with live tooling experience - is a Plus.
