Blankenship Equipment Repair deploys technicians that service the Pacific Northwest Region. We are growing and have an opening for a preventative maintenance technician in the recycling and waste management industry. This position is available for the quality minded person that has the mechanical skill sets to maintain balers, compactors and dock levelers located in businesses throughout the area.

The company will supply a company vehicle equipped with tools and supplies. The candidate will demonstrate his or her willingness to adhere to safety requirements mandated by OSHA and company policy.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (but not limited to):
* Maintenance including but not limited to greasing, cleaning, lubricating, operating, inspecting and basic repairs on hydraulic and electrical equipment.
* Follow daily instructions from Dispatch and Service Manager.
* Use of a company supplied smart phone to log into field service program to track hours and activity and send/receive emails.
* Complete equipment checklists and note any potential safety issues and/or needed repairs.
Job Requirements:
> Full time 40-hour position
> Work well independently and as a team member
> Good communication and customer service skills 
> Detail oriented, take photos, provide clear detailed PM notes.
> Mechanical aptitude:
 - Breakdown and assembly
 - Proper use of hand tools
> Regular attendance
> Valid driver's license with good driving record
> Background check
Qualifications and Experience:
* High school diploma or equivalent. Technical school a bonus!
* Prior electrical and/or mechanical knowledge a plus
* Strong work ethic
Working Conditions:
> Jobs are mostly outdoors.
> Ability to stand and work for long periods of time.
> Able to drive long distances.
> Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
> Must be able to work around trash.
Benefits:

•  40-Hours Vacation after 6-months. 80-Hours after one full year with incremental annual increases up to 4-weeks.
