Cascade Christian Academy is Hiring a School Facilities Assistant Near Wenatchee, WA

Job Overview:

We are seeking a Facilities Assistant to join our Cascade Christian Academy team. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated and able to work independently, assist in the maintenance and operation of our facilities, ensuring a safe and functional environment for all occupants.

Responsibilities:

  • Cleaning and Sanitization: Perform routine cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and disinfecting classrooms, offices, hallways, restrooms, and common areas using appropriate cleaning equipment and supplies.
  • Waste Management: Collect and dispose of trash and recyclable materials in designated areas, ensuring compliance with waste management policies and procedures.
  • Facility Maintenance: Assist with the maintenance and repair of school facilities, including minor repairs to fixtures, furniture, and equipment. Report any major maintenance issues or damages to the appropriate personnel.
  • Grounds Maintenance: Assist with maintaining the grounds on the school property, including climbing ladders to trim trees, weeding, maintaining, and using grounds equipment, mowing, weed eating, edging, hauling brush, snow removal, and other tasks related to keeping the grounds neat.
  • Set-Up and Tear-Down: Assist in setting up rooms and spaces for special events, meetings, or activities. This may involve arranging furniture, setting up chairs, and ensuring the availability of necessary supplies.
  • Stock and Inventory: Monitor and replenish cleaning supplies, toiletries, and other related inventory. Keep track of stock levels and inform the Facilities Director when supplies need to be ordered.
  • Safety and Security: Follow established safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a secure environment for students, staff, and visitors. Report any safety hazards, damage, or incidents to the Facilities Director.
  • Collaboration: Coordinate, cooperate with, and oversee the student workers to ensure efficient and effective completion of cleaning and maintenance tasks. Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and other staff members as needed.
  • Adherence to Regulations: Comply with health and safety regulations, including the proper handling and storage of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
  • Flexibility: Be available for occasional overtime, especially during weather-related incidents or emergency situations.
