Job Title: Pasta Prep Cook

Reports To: Executive Chef, Executive Sous Chef, Sous Chef

New concept with a collaboration between Groot Hospitality and Tao Group. Looking for a prep cook with experience making both extruded and filled pastas. Room to teach the right person, but experience is a huge bonus here. 8am-4pm Tuesday through Saturday.

This is a daytime position and there is a lot to learn here, as well as a lot of room to grow within the company for the right person. Pay is competitive depending on experience.

Job Requirements include:

• Display a working knowledge of basic dough preparation and equipment use (Hobart, pasta extruder, pasta roller).
• Demonstrate an ability to efficiently execute all prep assignments with excellence.
• Consistently ensure that prep station remains clean and organized.
• Communicates effectively with the kitchen team and embodies an environment of team work.
• Demonstrate an eagerness to refine techniques and a desire to continually learn and grow.
• Follow a daily prep list
• Punctuality and reliability
• Being detail oriented and organized
• Working cleanly, efficiently and quickly.
• Reporting equipment repair and maintenance to chefs immediately
• Report when food items are running low

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Familiar with production on large scale of filled pastas and familiarity with extruded pasta
• Applicants should have at least 3 years of kitchen experience in a high pace environment
• Highly organized, detail oriented and punctual
• Great attitude, respectful and a team player
• Must be able to stand for at least 8 hours and lift at least 50 pounds
