CASA of Adams & Broomfield Counties is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization with a mission to provide court-appointed volunteer advocacy for children and youth an open court case in the 17th Judicial District who have experienced abuse and neglect or are chronically absent from school so that every child can be safe, have a permanent home, and the opportunity to thrive. In Adams and Broomfield Counties, more than 500 children benefit from the life-changing advocacy of a CASA Volunteer each year. CASA Volunteers provide a critical voice for these children in court, advocating for their best interests. Our CASA Volunteers come from all walks of life and have a shared commitment towards improving children’s future outcomes.

In helping CASA of Adams & Broomfield Counties meet its overall objective of providing a caring CASA Volunteer for every child in need, the Grants Manager performs all grant-related funding duties to support fundraising and program activities.
Hours: Full-time, hybrid position with working hours split between home and CASA of Adams & Broomfield Counties’ main office located at 11860 Pecos Street, Suite 2700, Westminster, CO 80234

Reports To: Development Director

Description of Duties:

• Maintain accurate grants schedule and timeline of all grant applications and reports. Keep accurate, ongoing budget of prospective and received funding opportunities.
• Write and submit grant applications, reports, and all necessary communication in a timely, professional manner representative of CASA of Adams & Broomfield Counties to private foundations, corporations, and local, state, and federal government programs, and others, as applicable.
• Convey CASA’s mission with passion to the community and to funders in a professional manner, telling the CASA Story using facts and data as well as impact stories.
• Work with Operations Manager and Accountants to ensure grants are set up in QuickBooks and expenditures are tracked accurately.
• Work with Program Director and Peer Coordinator & Truancy Program Director to set grant goals, determine evaluation methods, collect data, and report on program results.
• Maintain accurate, up-to-date records, including electronic files, and enter all grant-related notes, actions, and proposals into Bloomerang database.
• Coordinate prospect research and outreach with Development Director to secure new grant funding.
• Work with Development Director on grant funding projections for current and future fiscal year budgets.
• Collaborate with the CASA Program Team to identify programs and initiatives well-suited for prospective grantors.
• Actively participate in weekly Development Team meetings, collaborating with the team to plan and implement comprehensive development activities.
• Communicate grant awards and requirements with Leadership Team on an ongoing basis.
• Work with Program Director on data collection and evaluation methods for capturing program results.
• Work with internal and external stakeholders and partners to identify opportunities for potential grant funding.
• Attend appropriate networking or informational meetings and educational opportunities as needed.
• Participate in appropriate professional organizations at the regional and national levels and participate in ongoing relevant professional development opportunities.
• Engage in ongoing personal and professional development.
• Take part in innovative and strategic thinking about the organization’s growth as it pertains to fundraising and grant writing.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications for Position:

• Bachelor’s Degree (in English, Social Work, Business or relevant field) OR equivalent experience
• Minimum two (2) years’ experience in grant writing or related position
• Extremely organized, enthusiastic, efficient, and committed personality able to work independently
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills
• Great attention to detail while also able to recognize larger picture in relation to program/organizational directions and trends
• Self-starter who can manage multiple deadlines at once
• Ability to be flexible
• Respect for confidentiality
• Understanding of and commitment to competently working with diverse people and families
• Awareness of Denver nonprofit community and major funders
• Knowledge of local, state and national common grant procedures
• Familiarity with non-profit field, and funding complexities
• Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously, manage diverse funding streams, and meet all deadlines
• Ability to drive in and around Adams and Broomfield Counties
• Flexible schedule and ability to work evening and weekends as required

Compensation:
This is a full-time position. Benefits include unlimited paid time off, professional development opportunities, matching 401k, medical, dental, life insurance. The salary range for this position is $56,000-$61,000.
