Casa Grande Elementary School District 4 is Hiring an Education Specialist - Inclusive Education ECLC Near Casa Grande, AZ

The job of Education Specialist - Inclusive Education is done for the purpose of improving special education students' success in the basic academics; relieving teachers of clerical tasks; and assisting students with special health care needs.

Adapts classroom activities, assignments and/or materials under the direction of the teacher; administers tests; assists special education students requiring daily care, (e.g. toileting, feeding, etc.); attends Individual Education Program meetings wtih assigned student(s); confers with teachers and/or parents as may be required; implements instructional programs and lesson plans, (e.g. reading, math, language, comprehension, writing, computer, etc.); instructs students (individual or small groups), (e.g. reading, spelling, self esteem, behavioral skills, daily living skills, etc.); maintains classroom equipment, work areas, student files/records, (e.g. clean up after various class projects, entering grades, adapting instructional materials, audiovisual equipment, etc.); monitors and assists special education students during assigned periods within a variety of school environments, (e.g. classrooms, rest rooms, hallways, cafeteria, labs, field trips, on/off buses, etc.); participates in in-service workshops and training; performs record keeping and clerical functions, (e.g. scheduling, copying, instructional materials, correcting papers, compiling list, etc.); picks up and/or delivers homework/assignments to students at home; provides documentation of students' work; responds to emergency situations, (e.g. injured students, fights, etc.); assists other personnel as may be required.

Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent; Pre-employment proficiency test; Criminal Justice/fingerprint clearance; Ability to read, write and communicate clearly in English.

This is a 22.5 hours per week position for balance of school year.
