The Assistant Director of Public Relations and Marketing plays a pivotal role in supporting the strategic direction and implementation of public relations and marketing initiatives for Casa Colina Hospital and Centers for Healthcare. This position requires a dynamic individual with a strong background in current communications technologies to drive brand awareness, engage target audiences, and enhance the overall public image of the organization. This will be a full-time position, working on-site at Casa Colina in Pomona, California.

Key Responsibilities:

This position is responsible for supporting and sometimes leading the execution of various communication campaigns including creative development, production and distribution of projects including news releases, advertisements, flyers, brochures, community articles, annual reports, corporate web pages, film, radio, TV productions, and more.

Strategic Planning:

    • Collaborate with the Director of Public Relations and Communications to develop and implement comprehensive marketing and PR plans aligned with organizational objectives.
    • Ensure that projects are produced in a timely and efficient manner while meeting established goals, budgets, and quality standards.

Project Management:

    • Support the planning and execution of targeted marketing, public relations, and advertising campaigns, utilizing both traditional channels and the latest communication technologies.
    • Collaborate with freelance designers, ad agencies, film and radio producers, advertising representatives, and other vendors to produce and execute various communication materials.
    • Monitor and analyze campaign performance while providing insights for continuous improvement.

Content Development:

    • Coordinate the creation of compelling and accurate content for various mediums including marketing collateral, web pages, community articles, social media, eblasts, news releases, letters, appeals, scripts, and more.
    • Write and edit copy and/or work with freelance support when needed to maintain consistency and accuracy while adhering to guidelines as outlined in the organization’s corporate branding manual.

Visual Content Development and Management:

    • Organize and produce still photography, film, and radio productions internally and/or in collaboration with outside vendors.
    • Maintain archival system of digital assets.

Media Relations:

    • Cultivate and maintain relationships with media representatives, journalists, and other public influencers.
    • Act as a spokesperson when necessary and coordinate media opportunities to enhance the organization's visibility.

Public Interaction:

    • Respond promptly and professionally to inquiries from patients, visitors, community members, and media representatives.

Event Support:

    • Collaborate and support the event planning team to ensure accurate and effective communications are integrated into event materials.

Budget Management:

    • Assist in annual budget planning.
    • Ensure cost-effectiveness and budget maintenance for various projects.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Communications, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in healthcare marketing and public relations.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills and the ability to inspire and guide a team.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of current marketing trends, digital platforms, and emerging technologies.
  • Familiarity with graphic design principles, production, and printing.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to translate ideas into actionable plans.
