Seeking a nurturing, diligent childcare provider with experience in early child development preferred. This individual will support Early Learning Academy staff in meeting and maintaining satisfactory health, safety, sanitation and nutrition program standards. They will ensure all components of the program meet Early/Head Start, Preschool for All/Prevention Initiative, DCFS child care licensing, and CACFP meal program requirements. Position Highlights
1. Actively participates in the classroom activities including interest areas, indoor/outdoor play, field trips.
2. Maintains updated knowledge on early childhood education and child development through in-service training, continuing education and other professional development.
3. Ensures that the Meal Participation Sheets are accurately recorded, tallied, and turned in to the Administrative Assistant.
4. Collaborates with the teaching team in room set-up, classroom activities, naptime and meals and encourages active participation from the children.
5. Shares responsibility with the teacher for field trips, name tags, emergency forms, first aid kit and permission slips (distributing and collecting).
6. Work on other Adhoc projects as assigned by the Early Learning Academy Program Director.
