Job Description:

Responsible for the safe operation of assigned equipment such as excavators, bulldozers, loaders, haulers, and rollers.

Job Duties:

• Accomplishes work by operating equipment, observing varying conditions, adjusting equipment controls.
• Prepares equipment by conducting pre-shift inspections
• Ability to read and understand blueprints.
• Ability to fine grade.
• Abiltiy to work with trench boxes and shoring to install pipe.
• Ability to construct roads, parking lots, water/sewer/storm water systems.
• Maintains safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures, complying with company policies and legal regulations.
• Be physically fit to perform all essential physical demands of this job safely
• Demonstrated safe work practices, history, and leadership ability
• Be available for weekend work when needed

Skills/Qualifications:

• Ability to work well in a team environment
• 5 years experience in a similar position preferred
• Proficiency in equipment operations
• Flexible schedule: rotating shifts, days, nights, weekends, and holidays as required
• High School diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver’s license
• Ability to qualify for TWIC card
• Ability to pass pre-employment screening to include, drug screen, physical and background check
