About the team and position

We're looking for a dedicated and effective Candidate Acquisition Program Specialist to join our dynamic Talent Strategy team. As a Program Specialist, you will support and facilitate various facets of our ever-evolving candidate acquisition methods and processes. Focus areas include vendor relationships, lead generation channels, local and large-scale hiring events, candidate engagement & experience, and the development of nimble and creative external talent pipeline solutions. The Program Specialist will also support critical projects as we continue to evolve our recruiting approach and business model for our fast-moving operational teams. Work Location

This role is located at our Corporate HQ in Tempe, AZ. We offer a hybrid work schedule with 3 days in the office and 2 days working from home/remote. *Hybrid work schedule is subject to review/change at any time by department and/or company leadership.

What you'll be doing

As a Program Specialist, you'll be tasked with a specific area(s) of focus within the full scope of responsibilities outlined. However, Specialists may be asked to shift focus at times, based on business needs.

• Managing key hiring events in partnership with our talent acquisition team, primarily using the really Job Board platform. Partner with Talent Acquisition, HRIS, strategic hiring leadership, and the vendor to ensure smooth operations, and support the analysis of results.
• Support Carvana's Talent Acquisition teams in the facilitation of a multitude of candidate acquisition methods and processes to stay in front of hiring targets in order to meet broader organizational goals.
• Work with applicable vendors to support the talent acquisition process and support the relationship and alignment between training, direct hires, market leaders, and recruiting.
• Help to facilitate candidate lead generation practices, and work closely with Candidate Acquisition and Talent Acquisition leadership to assess effectiveness and make adjustments as needed.
• Participate in and or lead the planning and execution of local or large-scale hiring events and community outreach efforts in partnership with our Talent Acquisition teams.
• Participate in and or lead the planning and execution of key projects and initiatives for the Talent Acquisition team from start to finish. Engage key partners and stakeholders to obtain and provide status updates and to ensure milestones and deliverables are met. Deliver updates and outcomes to Talent Strategy and Talent Acquisition leadership. Project management may include, but is not limited to, change management initiatives, technology and/or new process implementations, and recruiting event management.
• Partner with Talent Acquisition and Operations department leaders to help develop, implement, and execute talent/candidate acquisition referral programs.
• Work with Talent Acquisition and Operations department leaders to gain understanding of business and hiring needs, and to help develop, recommend, and implement outside the box candidate acquisition strategies and solutions.
• Other duties as assigned.

What you should have/know

• A Bachelor's degree from an accredited undergraduate institution is preferred.
• 1 years of program and/or project management experience in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment.
• 2 years of immersive Talent Acquisition process experience OR 2 years of internal Recruiting experience.
• Experience with virtual recruitment (social media, LinkedIn, resume sourcing) is required.
• Experience working with an ATS, preferably Greenhouse.
• Exceptional interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
• The ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.

We'd love it if you also have

• Experience developing and leveraging candidate lead generation strategies.
• Demonstrated experience in developing, implementing, and executing creative talent/candidate acquisition strategies and solutions.
• Basic knowledge of analytics tools and the ability to set up tracking/reporting mechanisms to capture key metrics.
• Experience working with talent acquisition vendors.
• Event (particularly recruiting events) planning experience.
