Technical Sales Representative

The Cleveland Punch and Die Company is looking for a full-time, high energy and forward thinking Inside Technical Sales Representative to become an integral member of our team.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Communicate with customers as well as sales and engineering teams to produce quotes and proposals that ensure all customer needs are met.
  • Set up new customer accounts by documenting pertinent account information.
  • Enter and edit orders placing a strong focus on detail and accuracy.
  • Create and maintain accurate customer specifications for order entry and quoting.
  • Follow up on customer inquiries and emails.
  • Work collaboratively with sales and engineering teams to develop specialized technical solutions based on customer’s specific needs.
  • Assist in resolving and clarifying customer discrepancies by determining the cause of the problem and implementing a specified solution.
  • Recommend potential products by collecting specific information and analyzing customer’s needs.
  • Assist in other areas as needed and perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Strong technical skills and the ability to present technical concepts.
  • Detailed oriented – must handle tasks free of errors.
  • Strong communication, organizational and time-management skills.
  • Self-motivated, hands-on individual with keen interest in learning quickly and applying new skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and meet multiple deadlines with minimal supervision.
  • Deliver results on challenging assignments.
  • Maintain a positive work atmosphere by communicating in a manner that gets along with customers, vendors, co-workers and supervisors/managers.
  • Proficient in the use of MS Office and other computer skills.
