Grounds Keeper

SALARY RANGE: $16-$19 Hourly

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

• Inspect the community throughout the day to remove litter, debris, and pet droppings. Ensures all common areas, office space, and amenities are neat and free of litter at all times.
• Changes all locks in accordance with the property policy and ensures gates to all pool areas are working according to codes and safety standards.
• Distributes notices and communications to residents, as necessary.
• Completes assigned minor and routine service requests in person as requested.
• Maintain landscaping using lawn and gardening equipment.
• Informs Community Manager of hazards or potentially dangerous situations for residents, team members, guests, and others.
• Perform minor maintenance and repair on equipment and tools as required.

• Attends routine safety meetings, completing required training on OSHA and other safety related laws and requirements, and by reporting accidents and incidents promptly.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR SUCCESS:

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Experience in groundskeeping, caretaking or janitorial
• Strong diligence
• Ability to multitask, stay organized and meet deadlines.
• Excellent customer service skills
• Must be able to assist with after-hours maintenance emergencies as needed.
• Must be able to lift up to 100 lbs. and climb stairs on a regular basis.
