POSITION SUMMARY

• CartBarn is looking to hire an experienced driver/ shop worker with excellent customer service skills. We are looking for an honest and reliable person who under minimal supervision can provide pick-ups and deliveries of golf carts and other like vehicles for business operations in the safest, most efficient manner. Operating the delivery vehicle (car, van or pick up) and trailer in a safe and cautious manner to maintain a clean driving record.

OBJECTIVES

• Keep all company vehicles, equipment in good running and clean condition. Strong attention to detail required

• Ability to load and unload carts safely and tie them down securely

• Complete all work in a timely safe fashion with an ability to adapt when difficulties arise

• Maintain communication throughout the day with office personnel with company provided cell phone

• Comfortable towing a wide range of trailers

• Test drive, inspect and ensure carts loaded are safe and ready for delivery

• Demonstration of new golf carts to customers and completing delivery paperwork.

• Proactively seeks out work to be accomplished to further the productivity and profitability of the business

• Presents self in professional, clean and appropriate manner with accurate timekeeping

• Ensure work area and overall facilities are clean, organized and presentable

COMPETENCIES

• Comfortable with towing a 40’ trailer along with a box and medium flatbed trailer

• Fit and able to load carts when they don’t run using correct tools

• Understand and follow detailed instruction accurately

• Ability to communicate in a polite and professional manner

• Ability to meet delivery targets to maintain revenue goals

• Basic mechanical ability to fit small parts to carts as required

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• Education: Basic hand tools, mechanical and electrical knowledge with an ability to learn.

• This position requires the use of a company vehicle while conducting business. Must possess a valid (Class C) Nevada driver’s license, preferred “J” endorsement AND an acceptable driving record.

• Must be able to pass a DOT medical and drugs test

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS

• Must be able to perform physical activities such as, but not limited to, regularly lifting equipment (up to 75 lbs. unassisted), bending, standing, climbing, kneeling or walking. Must be able to handle hazardous materials safely and have the ability to function and operate and perform safely on a forklift, ladder or any other OSHA standards.
