The Role: The Financial Analyst will support Cart.com’s Fulfillment as a Service (“FaaS”) business with a specific focus on Transportation and report to the Manager of Fulfillment Finance. This individual will partner closely with our Sr. Director of Transportation and Operations leadership to further accelerate our growth and profitability around transportation. What You’ll Do: Manage weekly reconciliation of carrier invoices, including FedEx, UPS, and DHL Own client pass-through billing related to all transportation spend, including maintenance of client rate cards Develop and maintain internal transportation P&L, including development of monthly process to review transportation profitability by fulfillment center, client, and carrier with Operations leadership Partner with accounting to record monthly transportation accruals Analyze transportation spend and profitability and provide insights to the business on where we can improve. Assist with freight inquiries and ad-hoc analyses, as they arise, in a timely manner Conduct ad hoc financial analysis and special projects as required by management Who You Are: You are proficient in Microsoft Excel at an advanced level You possess strong analytical skills You possess excellent verbal and written communication skills You consider yourself detail-oriented You consider yourself self-directed You possess strong time management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks; able to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment. You possess the ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team. What You’ve Done: You have a Bachelor’s degree from accredited college or university in finance or related field You have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role You have experience partnering with key business stakeholders to perform strategic analysis Nice to Haves: You have experience working in a high growth startup You have eCommerce or 3PL experience; knowledge of parcel transportation is a plus You have experience with Microsoft Dynamics or other financial ERP systems Currently, Cart.com does not intend to hire candidates who will need, now or in the future, Cart.com sponsorship through any non-immigrant visa category such as the H-1B, H-1B1, E-3, O-1, or TN.
