Job Title: Project Manager/Superintendent / Foreman

Department: Field / Operations

$70,000- $90,000 yearly

Overview:

The Field Project Super directs and reports the planning and efficient execution of all work orders for his or her channel and projects. The Field Project Super also handles aspects of clients/relationships, including maintaining or improving customer satisfaction.

The Field Super also plans and manages on-site installations to ensure timely completion, cost effective management of dealer labor and installation resources.

Core Accountabilities:

  • 1. Assure Customer Satisfaction on each project or assigned account
  • 2. Provide Project Managment Support through beginning and close out of projects.
  • Achieve Annual Quotas
  • Oversee Work Order Management for projects (Job Review, PPC, Pre-Install)
  • Be avaliable to meet clients and Field/Dispatch if needed.
  • Be responsible for responding to our meeting client's requirements within a 24 hour response time.

Specific Responsibilities:

  • 1. Assure Customer Satisfaction:
  • Can Train and develop leadman and installers
  • • Serves as the single point-of-contact for coordinating activities, orders and
  • personnel for each assigned project within your channel.
  • • Provides timely response to client requests for products and services.
  • • Assure complete closeout of projects/jobs to the satisfaction of the customer.
  • • Assist Internal AMS Team and customer with resolution of any ongoing major
  • service or performance issues.
  • • Interface and communicate with other internal departments to ensure customer
  • needs or requests are met and executed.
  • • Maintains comprehensive understanding of client needs, corporate goals,
  • business practices and performance criteria per Project.
  • • Manages client relationships and expectations to deliver customer satisfaction
  • and ensure strong ongoing business relationships.
  • • Communicates order status, scheduling of orders for delivery/installation, and
  • punch list resolution to customers.
  • • Provides accurate and timely response to customer questions on all aspects of
  • Work Orders.

2. Provide Field Project Superintendent Support through Closeout of Project:

  • • Oversees Project and produces work orders; directs implementation of customer
  • orders and service requests with Internal AMS Teams.
  • • Reviews work plans, delivery schedules and logistics established for client
  • projects and works with Field Team to provide accurate and realistic manpower
  • and delivery schedules.
  • • Interfaces with Field and Dispatch to ensure manpower needs for each job are
  • captured and that information is accurately entered in IQ.
  • • Interfaces with Field and Dispatch to select and assign appropriate Leads for
  • Projects.
  • • Interfaces with Warehouse Logistics Team to ensure all required product is
  • delivered on time as needed.
  • • Provide timely updates and accurate information to Field Team and/or Lead as
  • necessary.
  • • Attends site visits and project and account meetings as necessary.
  • • Ensures Allmodular and client standards of performance are met on all project
  • work and alert appropriate Management in a timely manner when standards are
  • not met.

3. Achieve Annual Quotas:

  • • Achieve annual goals in hitting set %’s of jobs completed under goal hours.
  • • Develop and maintain plans, strategies, tactics, quotas, goals and activities to
  • achieve desired performance results to maximize volume in accounts.
  • • Maintain and update IQ forecasts and other requested reports.

4. Own the Project & Client Relationship:

  • • Own the Project and manage client experience & expectations.
  • • Collaborate with Allmodular internal Team Members as necessary for optimum
  • results.
  • • Provide support to Director of Operations as required on Accounts as assigned
  • to.
  • • Respond promptly to all customer requests for estimates and interfaces with
  • Estimation Team to provide accurate information to enable the pricing process to
  • occur.
  • • Monitor and keep management informed of profit and loss of all assigned
  • Projects.
  • • Monitor and keep management informed of successes and challenges of all
  • assigned Projects.
  • • Monitor and ensure all assigned Projects receive excellent customer service from
  • internal Allmodular Departments.
  • • Initiates and oversees deliveries and installations; provides order management
  • on all work, including large projects.
  • • Analyzes order requirements, details scope of work and works with Dispatcher,
  • Warehouse & Field for deliveries and installation logistics.
  • • Communicates with customer on schedule of work, site requirements and project
  • parameters for deliveries and installations ensuring that information is entered in
  • IQ and available to other Departments as necessary.
  • • Communicates with Estimation Department ad customer regarding all additional
  • costs incurred in a timely fashion through the Field Change Order Process.
  • • Communicates with Allmodular internal Teams and field staff regarding all project
  • details as necessary.
  • • Review and act upon unvoiced and pending po reports and ensure timely
  • invoicing of all jobs and projects.
  • • Initiate pre-install meetings with Client and Field Team (with dealer onsite as
  • needed)

5. Oversees Work Order Management:

  • • Sends order information to appropriate internal and external personnel (AM staff,
  • operations, customer, etc.).
  • • Maintains and updates Work Order details in IQ for each assigned job/project.
  • • Provide product pull list to Warehouse Team and reviews receiving information
  • from warehouse to ensure accuracy; assists Warehouse and Field Teams with
  • resolving product discrepancies.
  • • Prepares Work Order packet and provides to dispatch.
  • • Engages Lead prior to job commencement with scope and drawings of
  • project/job.
  • • Provides schedule notes and information to dispatcher including details on
  • manpower, trucking, job site and logistics.
  • • Provides timely and accurate list of equipment needed per job to the Equipment
  • Department.
  • • Establish goal hours for each job/project and communicates that to Field Team
  • ensuring following-up and monitoring of those goal hours with the Lead and Field
  • Team.
  • • Work with Dispatch and Field Team to staff jobs/projects appropriate within Goal
  • Hours whilst simultaneously ensuring manpower is enough to ensure all jobs are
  • completed successfully in the required time-frames.
  • • Monitor field performance and goal hour usage and report to management
  • overages of goal hours.
  • • Try and maintain the target Gross Profit for Projects through efficient logistical
  • planning.
  • • Capture non-quoted additional costs through the Field Change Order process.
  • • Monitors profit and loss against Gross Profit plan.
  • • Keep Management informed of profit and loss on Project level and take
  • appropriate measures to keep this on course.
  • • Ensures all punch list work is completed and done in a timely manner and
  • customer signs off.
  • • Initiate Time & Material requests and ensure they are priced and submitted back
  • to client in a timely fashion.
  • • Initiate the invoice/billing process for product delivered and all work performed
  • upon completion of a job/project.
  • • Engage clients in request to progress-invoice large $ jobs.
  • • Ensure Team and specific Client billing procedures are followed.
  • • Help Allmodular Teams maintain and follow-up with appropriate individuals for
  • customer sign-offs for all assigned work orders.
  • • Provide assistance to Accounting Dept. where necessary to provide prompt and
  • courteous follow-up of delinquent accounts as directed.

7. Technical and Product Skills:

  • • PlanGrid and IQ knowledgeable can complete and fully navigate systems.
  • • Has good understanding of contract furniture scope of work including account
  • servicing, design and order preparation, order management, factory interface,
  • delivery & installation and project management.
  • • Understands interior design and construction processes; can read construction
  • and furniture drawings and blueprints.
  • • Is mechanically adept and has excellent installation technical abilities; proficient
  • with tools and equipment; excellent at custom applications; finished installations
  • are of high quality.
  • • Is extremely product knowledgeable, across all lines of furniture carried by
  • dealership; can figure out installation of new lines through analysis and
  • extrapolation.
  • • Can specify product, using full product nomenclature; understands correct
  • product application and use; can do small layouts and reconfigurations without
  • relying on designers or sales staff.
  • • Is fully knowledgeable of electricity, electrical hookups to building power, data
  • and voice cabling, basic furniture codes, and other technical installation issues.

8. Responsibility and Decision-Making Skills:

  • • Accepts accountability for project success—cost, completion, schedule
  • adherence, punch-list, customer satisfaction, etc.
  • • Acts as part of the Operation Division management team; assists in developing
  • and implementing Division procedures, work practices, standards of
  • performance, etc.; understands Division economics and cost accounting; takes
  • strong role in the development of installation personnel.
  • • Capable of reacting to varying project/field conditions and able to make decisions
  • to solve problems and changes in the scope of work.

9. Administrative Skills:

  • • Maintains detailed and complete administrative records of installation project
  • work, including time sheets, receiving documentation, change orders, product
  • returns, etc.
  • • Communicates, and documents in writing, project status, problems and punch-list
  • to dispatch, operations, and to project management personnel.
  • • Can assist Operations Manager/Dispatcher in office administration—work order
  • processing, payroll time, punch list resolution, receiving documentation, etc.

10. Project and Installation Management Skills:

  • • Can plan, organize and effectively direct a large crew of installers on small to
  • large projects.
  • • Can supervise and project manage large and/or complex installation projects.
  • • Strong crew leader who sets daily performance/result expectations and has the
  • respect of his/her crew
  • • Has excellent material handling and logistic skills; practices efficient material
  • handling on, and off, site.
  • • Can analyze and develop detailed work plans and price quotations for installation
  • projects.
  • • Conducts comprehensive site reviews, pre-installation meetings and reviews,
  • and participates in construction/project meetings as representative of dealer.
  • • Manages project completion through final close-out, including punch-list

Requirements:

  • Technical Skills:
  • • If able can comfortably drive a bobtail or cube truck and can do so safely.
  • • Understands furniture material handling and logistical processes.
  • • Can receive and document receipt of product in a thorough and accurate manner.
  • • Member in good standing with Installer’s Union
  • • High School Degree or GED
  • • Basic Computer Skills, Outlook, Excel, Word
