Description

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Director of Facilities at Carroll Lutheran Village!

What You’ll Do as Director of Facilities at Carroll Lutheran Village:

  • Direct and manage all Environmental Services and Maintenance, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical and fire protection systems, life safety, system engineering, building maintenance, Security, Housekeeping, Laundry, and Transportation services.
  • Maintain consistency by providing efficient, effective operating procedures for general and preventative maintenance.
  • Oversee the use of our Maintenance Management Software System, to manage work orders, assets, inventory, space utilization, and compliance tasks.
  • Manage expenses through knowledge of budgetary expenditures.
  • Hire, train and supervise team members within the Facilities department as needed.
  • Maintain compliance with requirements for Department of Health, Life Safety and OSHA standards as they relate to Facilities
  • Lead the safety committee for the community
  • Management to ensure a safe and efficient working environment essential to the performance of CLV quality service
  • Oversee all construction work and other core services, and/or logistics of business/operations.
  • Ensure the facility is survey ready at all times in order to meet safety protocol standards.

Qualifications


  • AA or BS degree preferred with a minimum of five (5) years’ experience in supervision of building maintenance or directly related field.
  • Experience with computerized preventive maintenance or related software programs and college or related technical training are preferred.
  • Must have the ability to interpret schematics, blueprints, etc.
  • Must have some degree of knowledge and skills in plumbing, heating, electrical and air conditioning.
  • Must be able to plan and coordinate work and effectively supervise others.
  • Must have knowledge of materials, supplies, building tools and equipment utilized in the building and grounds program.
  • Must have knowlege of OSHA regulations
  • Knowlege of Life Safety code and reguations
  • Knowledge of NFPA codes and standards
  • Experience wiht budgetary responsibilities
  • Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language effectively.
  • Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
  • Must possess the ability to deal tactfully, patiently and positively with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel, and the general public.
  • Must provide documentation of such certification upon application for the position.
  • Must have the ability to remain calm and levelheaded in emergencies.
