Senior Tax Accountant$105K - $115K Plus Benefits and Bonus.
*Sign-On Bonus Relocation Expenses Covered.
Hybrid Role reporting to Boca Raton Office.

Role Description:

We are seeking a senior-level professional to join our dynamicteam! Our Tax Group provides planning and tax compliance services to inbound and outbound owner/entrepreneurial clients. The Tax Senior will be responsible for a range of tasks that include year-end accounting, tax preparation, and ensuring compliance with tax law. The successful candidate will work with a team of experienced professionals and will assist clients ranging from individuals to corporations.

  • Lead the development and implementation of comprehensive tax strategies for our clients. Ensure compliance with all relevant tax regulations and identify opportunities for tax optimization.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong client relationships. Serve as a trusted advisor, providing proactive guidance on tax matters and addressing client inquiries with professionalism and expertise.
  • Contribute to the development of innovative solutions to meet the evolving needs of our clients.
  • Conduct thorough financial analysis to identify potential tax risks and opportunities. Provide insightful recommendations to clients based on your findings.
  • Provide technical expertise and knowledge of processes to expand the line of business and develop professional staff.
Key Responsibilities:
  1. Tax Compliance: Prepare and review complex corporate, partnership, and individual tax returns to ensure accuracy and compliance with applicable tax laws and regulations.

  2. Tax Planning: Advise clients or internal stakeholders on tax planning strategies to optimize their financial position and minimize tax liabilities.

  3. Research and Analysis: Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations, research tax issues, and provide insightful analysis to support decision-making.

  4. Client Management: Build and maintain relationships with clients or internal departments, addressing their tax-related concerns, and providing proactive advice.

  5. Audit Support: Assist in tax audits by gathering necessary documentation, responding to inquiries from tax authorities, and representing the organization in discussions with tax authorities.

  6. Team Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance and legal departments, to ensure a holistic approach to tax compliance and planning.

  7. Training and Development: Stay informed about industry trends and share knowledge with junior team members, contributing to their professional development.

Required Qualifications:

  • Degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • Must have a CPA or be eligible to take the CPA exam.
  • Must currently work in Public Accounting.
  • At least three years of experience with tax preparation for individuals and corporations.
  • Proficient in tax preparation software (e.g., TurboTax, ProSeries, etc.).
  • Familiarity with accounting and ERP software.
  • Strong understanding of tax regulations and accounting principles.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to articulate complex tax concepts to clients clearly and understandably.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, coupled with the ability to think strategically and make informed decisions.
