Director of E-CommerceMust Have 3 Years of Fragrance Industry Experience.

$165K - $180K Plus Bonus and Benefits.

Working Onsite 5 Days A Week.

Well-known fragrance, skincare, and cosmetics privately owned Manhattan-based company is seeking an E-Commerce Director.

Mission:

Drive digital acceleration strategy and execution for e-commerce with a key focus on strengthening all steps of the funnel for our key retail partners. Spearheaded robust commercial plans and growth initiatives for dotcom sales, online traffic, and new customer acquisition that deliver monthly and annual revenue goals.

Performance analysis, competitive insights, retailers, and trends expertise:

  • Strategically program and drive forward top retailer accounts on Prestige in partnership with KADs.
  • Lead e-tailer oversight during business reviews, sales reporting, and key global and internal presentations for all of Prestige on e-retail.
  • Establish a strong KPI tracker to identify performance vs target; understand gaps and address them.
  • Execute ongoing competitive analysis as well as recommended strategies and tactics to improve our value equation to the customer (key to tracking retailers' emails, retailers' social accounts, and competitive audits at key periods to draw insights to drive our business).
  • Expand business and landscape knowledge to identify key business drivers.
  • Ensure key actions are in place to have best-in-class execution.
  • Ensure delivery of targets (sales, timely and quality of the execution of launches and portfolio updates), implement corrective action when needed.
  • Build knowledge and expertise to strengthen the funnel (affiliate strategies, search, email marketing, etc.).
  • Partner with digital team lead in owning business review documents, monthly reporting on core franchises, launch readiness, and yearly target planning for all core and prestige retailers.

Build strong relationships with multiple retailers and internal teams:

  • Develop a strong partnership and efficient way of working with the .com teams at all of our retailers for the prestige business.
  • Negotiate strong visibility with the retailers within the Fragrance categories.
  • Aggressiveness to drive their business and deliver targets.
  • Develop strong strategy and planning (ex: promo, allocations, sampling programs, omni executions, etc.).
  • Ensure quality of execution (ex: product pages, strong visibility, gaps/samples set up on time, launches live on time, etc.).
  • Test, learn, and implement new opportunities with retailers and report on successes and areas of improvement.
  • Put forward strong recommendations of campaigns and activations for new launches, key seasonal moments, and key retailer timing in terms of assets, exposure, and offers.

Maximize efficiency of communication, leveraging the power of the cross-functional teams and resourcefulness (internal & external):

  • Powerful written and verbal communications to align multiple parties: Coordinate with various departments within the company to ensure that all consumer touchpoints and messaging are working and measured harmoniously and efficiently.
  • Able to multitask, project manage, and handle multiple retailers and brands along with cross-functional teams internally and externally.
  • Leverage the power of cross-functional teams and form strategic relationships.
  • Work hand and hand with KADs on an omnichannel strategy and execution, while programming dotcom-only executions where needed.
  • Liaise with internal and external operations teams on demand planning and fulfillment by requesting inventory, forecasting, and communicating clear dates for launches and promotions aligned to the business needs.
  • Partner with the global team to develop a merchandising calendar for item image, and copy strategy, as well as learn and implement tactics from other countries.
  • Open to doing both the strategic work as well as the tactical work.
  • A person in a Director role MUST be willing to do the “day-to-day” on occasion to keep the business moving forward.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 3-5 Years of Ecommerce/retailer.com/DTC/Digital experience.
  • Digital, Sales/eCommerce, and Marketing experience preferred.
  • Strong understanding of media data/research sources.
  • Experience in the fragrance category.
  • Track record of building brand awareness with an eye for message, content, and stories.
  • Significant experience and a proven track record of executing digital communication strategies and tracking ROI analysis as a result.
  • Experience partnering with multiple retailers (preferred experience with Macy’s, Neimans, Bloomingdale’s) and/or DTC
  • Must have a good handle on current trending products and strategies.
  • Innovative thinker and interested in first to market.
  • Needs to be a creative problem solver, thrive in a fast-paced environment, prioritize and oversee multiple projects at once.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities.
  • Attention to detail and work well with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
