Carriage Crossing Senior Living / Generation Healthcare Managers is Hiring a Director of Nursing Near Bloomington, IL

Carriage Crossing Senior Living in Bloomington is looking for an exceptional candidate to fill the role of Director of Nursing to lead our clinical TEAM in providing quality person-centered care for our residents and to organize & oversee all nursing operations of the community. Carriage Crossing in Bloomington is one of seven of our care communities, all based in central Illinois, serving residents with needs in Independent/Assisted Living, Memory Care, Respite Care and Hospice Care. You will work to support a collaborative and efficient workplace with attention to quality standards and policies, along with a great team of directors who support one another in all aspects of residents' activities of daily living. There, all personnel will be able to do their best in caring for patients. The ideal Director of Nursing would be a hard-working and compassionate RN or LPN who has steadily developed their managerial and administrative skills. Being efficient, dedicated, a good listener and a problem-solver is what we are looking for to help our staff succeed and grow while our residents continue to thrive, and support our mission for seniors to Live the Life You Love! The goal is to foster a positive culture where we can support extraordinary people - staff, residents, families and guests - and provide exceptional care that makes a difference in the lives of older adults.

Responsibilities

  • Direct, oversee and evaluate all nursing personnel (RN, LPN, CNA, and Resident Caregivers)
  • Guide staffing procedures
  • Set objectives and long-term goals for the nursing department
  • Organize and coordinate admission, nursing and patient care procedures with Community Relations Director and Executive Director
  • Develop and enforce policies aiming for legal compliance and high quality standards
  • Control budgets and monitor expenditures
  • Resolve issues and deficiencies when needed
  • Manage record-keeping procedures
  • Collaborate with other departments and professionals to streamline operations
  • Report to upper management

Skills

  • Proven experience as leader in Nursing duties; Director of Nursing experience preferred, but not required
  • In-depth knowledge of Assisted Living regulations under IDPH for compliance and best practices in healthcare
  • Understanding of basic budgeting and financial reporting
  • Understanding of COVID regulations, reporting and infection control standards
  • Willingness to keep abreast of changing standards in nursing administration
  • Excellent ability to lead and develop personnel
  • Great communication and people skills
  • Outstanding organizational and stress management skills
  • Aptitude in problem-solving
  • Registered Nurse preferred; Licensed Practical Nurse eligible
  • Valid Nursing license and CPR certification

Position is Monday - Friday with on-call responsibilities. Schedule can change depending on coverage. Salary starts at $75,000 on-call pay.
