We are currently seeking an Internal Audit Manager to join the team in Atlanta.
Essential Functions:
- Perform external and internal audit, and consulting engagements for financial services clients working closely with engagement partner.
- Demonstrate expertise in accounting & auditing and internal controls and effectively communicate such knowledge.
- Facilitate and participate in planning, scheduling, and managing client engagements.
- Develop an understanding of the accounting and regulatory environment in which financial services companies operate and effectively communicate such knowledge.
- Communicate effectively with client management to timely complete audit/consulting projects and manage client expectations.
- Exhibit leadership and team work related to multiple engagements both within the Atlanta office and across the firm’s footprint within the financial services industry line.
Qualifications:
- CPA Certification required
- CIA a plus
- Minimum 5 years audit/attest experience
- Experience with banking clients required
- Candidates with community bank experience will be preferred
- Demonstrated ability to manage a team and develop professionals
- Public company audit experience a plus
