Carpet Factory Outlet is a family owned and operated company that has been a leader in the local flooring industry since 1970.

We are seeking a highly organized and diligent Assistant Warehouse Manager to help oversee the day-to-day operations of our carpet and flooring warehouse. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing inventory, coordinating logistics, supervising staff, and ensuring efficient warehouse operations

Responsibilities:

Receive incoming shipments and verify the accuracy of and tag delivered products.

Safely and efficiently unload carpet and flooring from delivery trucks and transport them to the appropriate storage areas using forklifts, pallet jacks, or other equipment.

Organize and store inventory in designated locations based on size, style, and type.

Maintain accurate inventory records by updating stock levels, labeling inventory, and conducting regular stock counts.

Prepare carpets and flooring for installation/pickup by picking and packing orders according to customer requirements.

Assist with loading carpet and flooring onto delivery vehicles, ensuring they are properly secured for transportation.

Operate warehouse equipment and machinery, such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and carpet cutting machines, following safety guidelines and maintaining equipment in good working condition.

Keep the warehouse clean, organized, and free from safety hazards by regularly sweeping, removing debris, and following proper waste disposal procedures.

Collaborate with other team members and supervisors to optimize warehouse operations and fulfill customer orders accurately and efficiently.

Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others.

Supervise and train warehouse staff, providing guidance, support, and performance feedback.

Schedule work shifts and assign tasks to warehouse personnel to ensure adequate staffing levels and optimal productivity.

Foster a positive work environment, promote teamwork, and encourage employee engagement and professional growth.

Perform other duties as assigned by the Warehouse Manager or Management Team.

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent.

Prior experience working in a warehouse or similar environment is preferred.

Ability to operate warehouse equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks (relevant certifications are a plus).

Physical stamina and ability to perform manual labor, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.

Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.

Basic computer skills for inventory management and record keeping.

Familiarity with safety protocols and ability to follow them strictly.

Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced and sometimes physically demanding environment.

Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
