Carpenter Company has an immediate opening for Material Handler 1st Shift in the Consumer Foam department at our Temple TX manufacturing plant.

Material Handler - Consumer Foam - Temple, TX - 1st Shift 7 : 00 am Start time with overtime as needed to complete the work for the day.

Works in a production / warehouse environment and is responsible for producing specific products(s) for external customers in an efficient, safe and production environment, meeting the demands established by a daily production schedule and customers specifications.

Position requires daily communication between operator, management, and all other employees in the department.

Major challenges involve the many varieties of mattress manufactured by this department

Skills / Requirements

Other responsibilities include :

• Maintain a neat, orderly, and safe work environment.
• Must be able to read a tape measure.
• Requires standing the entire shift of work.
• Must be able to read and completely understand the labeling process and read and write English
• Must be able to shift, fold, pack and / or lift foam products or other consumer products.
• Must fully understand quality standards as prescribed by management.
• Other duties as assigned by management.
• Picking up trash and discarded product.
• Assists with monthly inventory, as required.
