Carpe Diem Academy is a small private school providing services to children with special needs. We are seeking a Behavior Technicain with a passion for the ABA Field who can commit to working in-the home during the afternoons near the South Hill/Spanaway area.

Family is also seeking assistance in the morning but currently is prioritizing afternoon schedule.

The Behavior Technician provides direct one-on-one behavioral interventions to teach communication, social, and daily living skills and reduce problematic behaviors in the home, community, and school settings.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Provides direct one-on-one behavioral interventions to teach communication, social, and daily living skills and reduce problematic behaviors
• Collects treatment plan data
• Applies feedback and training on Registered Behavior Technician performance given by the lead BCBA or BCaBA
• Provides behavior support inside and outside of the home or classroom when applicable
• Attends a variety of training sessions and other related company meetings
• Adheres to applicable laws, rules, and regulations specified by regulatory agencies
• Performs other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

• Behavior Technician Certification
• 1 Years of Applied Behavior Analysis Experience
• Capable of passing Level 2 Background Check
• In-service training – CPR, HIPAA, OSHA, HIV, Zero Tolerance, BBP etc
• Reliable transportation
• Ability to lift 50lbs or more
• Central Reach experience a plus!
• Registered Behavior Technician Certification is a plus!
• PCM or Safety Care Training is a plus!
• Experience with Agreessive behavior is needed.
