Maintains service operations by inspecting and maintaining vehicles and assists with planning and scheduling for area. Coordinates and conducts heavy equipment and vehicle maintenance, vehicle / equipment capital replacement, modifications, and improvement programs, as well as assists with winter season snow removal operations during the off season.
Responsibilities: Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Good knowledge of methods and standard practices of the welding, machining, and automotive trades. Good skills associated with trouble shooting and finding causes of mechanical or electronic malfunctions. Good independent decision making, nonstandard problem solving, troubleshooting, planning, and organizing. Ability to
read, modify, or correct blueprints, sketches, and drawings. Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Education: High school graduate or equivalent. Related degree or vocational training preferred.
License or Certification: Valid driver's license
Experience: Typically requires 2-4 years of auto mechanic experience
Equivalency: Directly related experience or a combination of directly related education and experience and/or competencies may be considered in place of the above requirements.
