Job Summary: The Business Intelligence Developer I supports the design and development of all aspects of enterprise reporting that closely match reports to actual business needs within the context of new workflows, applications and regulatory requirements while ensuring careful analysis with the end-users of the reports to understand the reporting need.Validates the report and communicates with the end-user to make sure they know how to access the requested report while working with the application experts to ensure quality development and testing of reports.Regular communication is required with the Reporting Coordinator who will set directives and monitor progress of the Business Intelligence Developer.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree from a recognized college or university in Information Systems, Computer Science, Math, Statistics, Physics or Engineeringor university is required. Experience in data management, data interpretation and analysis experience to include writing reports or queries using Crystal Reports, SQL and/or similar reporting tools strongly preferred. Must be proficient working with technology and Microsoft Office products to create teaching, learning and documentation materials.Healthcare experience in a clinical, administrative and/or financial department is preferred.Possess an understanding of computer system capabilities to address process requirements. Skilled at problem solving and communication skills, both written and oral.Excellent organization skills.Strong interpersonal relations and technical competence required.Must be able to manage multiple priorities while functioning in a wide range of administrative, management and patient care environments.Must pass Epic examinations and complete all training projects to satisfactory level within 4 months of hire.
