Overview

Carollo Engineers is an internationally recognized environmental engineering firm that specializes in the planning, design, and construction of water and wastewater facilities. We are seeking a Mid-Level Civil Infrastructure Engineer to support Carollo's vision. As part of our team, you will work on projects related to municipal water and wastewater treatment plants, including but not limited to major treatment plant expansions, regional water quality studies, and critical water reuse projects that will create sustainable and resilient water supplies for the world.

Responsibilities

• Conceptual and preliminary design activities including site visits, overseeing fieldwork, alternatives analysis, and report preparation
• Design of water, wastewater, recycled water, and storm water infrastructure including pipelines, pump stations, and storage facilities
• Perform hydraulic calculations needed to size and select project facilities
• Develop plans, specifications, and cost estimates for various infrastructure projects
• Assist with coordinating sub-consultant work
• Coordinate the work of other engineering disciplines, designers, modelers, technicians, and others who assist in specific assignments
• Review contractor submittals for conformance with contract plans and specifications and evaluate requests for information as part of engineering services during construction
• Travel may be required

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Environmental Engineering or related engineering field
• 6-12 years of water and wastewater experience in the field of infrastructure engineering with at least 5 years of project management experience
• Registration as a Professional Engineer
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to apply critical thinking to develop options and recommendations to solve technical problems
• Experience with the planning and design of infrastructure design and rehabilitation projects
• Ability to communicate effectively with clients and project team
• Proficiency in MS Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering
• Construction Management experience
