We are seeking a Senior Engineer to support Carollo's vision of becoming the best water consulting firm in the United States. As part of our team, you will work on projects related to municipal water and wastewater treatment plants, including but not limited to major treatment plant expansions, regional water quality studies, and critical water reuse projects that will create sustainable and resilient water supplies for the world.

Responsibilities

• Design of water and wastewater treatment facilities
• Plans, schedules, and conducts engineering work on projects of various sizes
• Oversees budget, schedule and quality standards
• Has full technical responsibility for interpreting, organizing, executing, and coordinating assignments
• Acts independently on technical matters pertaining to civil/environmental engineering field
• Carries out complex assignments requiring the development of new or improved techniques or procedures to create new or refined equipment, material, processes or methods
• Assists in proposal preparation and interviews
• May be included in contract negotiations with clients after selection
• Develops relationships with existing clients and has responsibility for client maintenance at staff level on existing projects
• Works closely with subconsultants on projects
• Active in professional associations, including attendance and participation in local, regional, and national conventions

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, or Chemical Engineering
• Registration as a Professional Engineer
• Minimum of 10 years of wastewater design experience in the field of environmental consulting engineering with an emphasis in hydraulics, physical, chemical, and biological treatment processes and treatment plant design
• Experience in development of conceptual/preliminary designs and detailed design document preparation
• Demonstrated experience with managing and designing medium sized projects with full responsibility for budget, schedule, contractual obligations and quality standards
• Experience working with wastewater collection systems and water and reclaimed water transmission/distribution projects
• Ability to communicate effectively with clients and project team
• Proficient in MS Word and Excel

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering
