Job Summary :

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Maintenance Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in MIG welding, carpentry, fabrication, and basic electrical work.

The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing equipment and facilities to ensure smooth operations and prevent downtime.

Key Responsibilities :

• Perform MIG welding tasks, including joining, fabricating, and repairing metal parts and structures.
• Conduct carpentry work such as building, repairing, and maintaining wooden structures, fixtures, and furniture.
• Fabricate and assemble mechanical components and systems using various tools and equipment.
• Carry out basic electrical work, including installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and equipment.
• Inspect and diagnose issues with machinery, equipment, and building systems.
• Perform routine maintenance on equipment and facilities to ensure optimal performance and safety.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to understand job requirements and specifications.
• Collaborate with other maintenance staff and departments to coordinate repairs and maintenance tasks.
• Adhere to safety protocols and regulations, ensuring a safe working environment.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work performed, parts used, and time spent on tasks.
• Assist in the development and implementation of preventive maintenance programs.
• Respond to emergency maintenance requests in a timely manner.

Qualifications :

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical or trade school certification is preferred.
• Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician, with a focus on MIG welding, carpentry, fabrication, and basic electrical work.
• Strong knowledge of maintenance procedures, techniques, and safety standards.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents, blueprints, and schematics.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Physical stamina and dexterity to perform manual tasks, including lifting heavy objects and working in various environments.

Preferred Qualifications :

• Certification in MIG welding or a related field.
• Experience with preventive maintenance programs.
• Knowledge of HVAC systems, plumbing, and other building systems.

Working Conditions :

• Work may involve exposure to various hazards such as noise, chemicals, and heavy machinery.
• The position may require working in confined spaces, heights, and varying temperatures.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
