Job Description: Electrical/Labor Helper
Position: Electrical/Labor Helper Location: Whiteville, NC
Hourly Rate: $13.00 per hour
Working Hours: 8:00 AM - 6:00 PM (Monday to Friday)
Job Summary: 
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Electrical/Labor Helper to join our team in Whiteville, NC. As an Electrical/Labor Helper, you will assist our experienced electricians and skilled laborers in various electrical and construction-related tasks. This entry-level position provides an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the electrical and construction industries.
Responsibilities:
  • Assist electricians and laborers in performing electrical installations, repairs, and maintenance tasks.
  • Help with the setup, organization, and cleanup of job sites.
  • Carry and retrieve tools, equipment, and materials as required by the electricians and laborers.
  • Perform basic tasks, such as digging trenches, drilling holes, and running conduit under supervision.
  • Handle and maintain electrical tools and equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Follow safety guidelines and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
  • Learn and adhere to local and state electrical codes and regulations under the guidance of experienced electricians.
  • Assist in troubleshooting electrical issues and provide support to resolve them effectively.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly work environment to ensure smooth operations.
  • Attend training sessions and workshops to enhance skills and knowledge in the electrical and construction fields.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Prior experience in electrical work or general labor is a plus, but not required.
  • Basic understanding of electrical systems and construction practices.
  • Ability to work in physically demanding environments and lift heavy objects.
  • Strong work ethic and willingness to learn from experienced professionals.
  • Punctual and dependable, with the ability to adhere to a consistent work schedule.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.

Working Conditions:The Electrical/Labor Helper will primarily work outdoors at various job sites in and around Whiteville, NC. This role involves exposure to various weather conditions and physically demanding tasks. The job may require lifting heavy objects, and standing for extended periods. Safety precautions and proper PPE will be provided to ensure a safe working environment.
