Title: Floater

Reports to: Restaurant Manager/Kitchen Manager

Summary of Position:

The floater position is responsible for providing excellent food quality as per company standard. The floater position has various kitchen duties that can vary daily. The floater assists kitchen positions as needed.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Serve and prioritize customers by adhering to food quality standards.
• Make red chile, beans and chorizo according to recipe book.
• Make masa for tamales according to recipe book.
• Assist in food preparation according to recipe book.
• Cut & grate cheese.
• Assist dishwashers as needed.
• Transfer food from freezer to refrigerator per food safety standards.
• General knowledge of most/all kitchen positions to help as needed.
• Clean and operate the tortilla machine.
• Monitor tortilla machine to ensure it is in good working condition.
• Various tasks assigned by supervisor as needed.
• Report maintenance questions/concerns or issues to manager immediately.
• Assist in organizing store.
• Stock and organize vendor deliveries.
• Restock dish out line.
• Clean parking lot.
• Empty dining room trash cans.
• Ensure ice machines are filled.

Qualifications:

• Must have experience in various kitchen positions within company.
• Thorough knowledge of food handling policies.
• Must have excellent work history within company.
• Excellent customer hospitality and service.
• Communicates respectfully towards others.
• Must have neat appearance.
• Ability to work varied hours.
• Basic reading, writing and math.
• Customer focus by food quality.
• Collaborates with team members to accomplish goals and objectives.
• Ethical conduct.

Physical Requirements:
