The position coordinates incoming and/or outgoing patient referrals for physical therapy, ensuring referrals are addressed in a timely manner, and prioritizing urgent referrals appropriately. Schedules appointments for patients with the appropriate provider, facility, and time/slot utilization.

Requirements: The Scheduler – Physical Therapy requires utilization of clinical knowledge to schedule appropriate physical therapy appointments and complete physical therapy referrals consistent with the patient’s diagnosis and provider’s order. The position requires strong customer service skills while using friendly tone and verbiage. The Scheduler – Physical Therapy must be able to respond to both written and oral correspondence regarding scheduling changes/cancellations in a timely, accurate manner. Individual must be organized, and may be able to manage a demanding workload with accuracy.
