Carolina Meadows is looking for a part-time Counter Server to join our Bake Shop team! 18-20 hours weekly. Evenings and every other Saturday 11a-7:30p. $17 per hour.This position is primarily responsible for taking food and beverage orders and assisting residents, staff and guests with daily service while maintaining the highest quality of service and sanitation standards of the Pub/Bake Shop/Marketplace at all times. Customized food and beverage order management to include light food prep for sandwich, soups and salads, drinks, desserts and snacks. Entering orders via POS System in proper sequence and setup and break down in opening and closing of the Marketplace required. Additional duties to include maintaining daily service of the Courtyard, Pub and Bake Shop as needed. Job Requirements:HS Diploma or general education degree (GED), 1-2 years of previous food service experience required; or equivalent combination of education and experience. ServeSafe Certification preferred. Ability to lift or move up to 20 lbs. Ability to walk, stand, bend and twist to perform normal job functions. Incumbent should be able to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written and oral form, possess high – quality verbal and written communication ability, strong customer service and basic math skills. Must be proficient in the operation of POS applications and have knowledge of current sanitation regulations.
