Overview (which includes, but is not limited to): The
Irrigation Technician is an ‘in field’ production based position in
the Landscape Grounds Management Department which
performs Irrigation Services, Repairs, and Modifications for
Commercial and Residential customers.
Responsibilities (include but are not limited to): Complete daily/weekly
production assignments efficiently (i.e. Irrigation System Service, Repairs,
Modifications); schedule and monitor daily/weekly workloads; Manage
Inventory; administrative tasks related to position; Operate in a safe and
environmentally conscious manner; Maintain clean and organized
inventory, equipment and vehicles; Communicate daily with direct report;
Must be able to work in an independent position; Supervise and train
maintenance crews on basic aspects and functions of Irrigation Systems,
whereby they can operate as an extension of your role during seasonal
peak loads; Maintain communication with clients; Complete accurate
timesheets and other daily paperwork as required; Must have valid NC
Driver’s license and maintain a good driving record; Must have good
leadership, communication and customer service skills; Must have the
ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a routine basis, work outside in all weather
conditions and potentially hazardous conditions.
