Job Summary:

The Swim Coach is responsible for safely maintaining order and assisting in the operation of the swimming pool and its area at all times. In this position you will assure the safety of all pool participants for both members and guests and will provide excellent services in a professional, respectful and friendly manner at all times. You will serve as a positive role model and are responsible to know, observe and enforce the Clubs safety & security policies and guidelines. This individual will embody the Carolina Country Employee Mission and Absolutes.

Job Functions include:

• Assist with swim team swim meets and other swim team functions throughout the season.
• Schedule swim lessons for members and bill in a timely manner.
• Ensures a safe environment for all members and guests.
• Provides independent or group swimming lessons to members and/or their family.
• Coaches swim and dive teams.
• Communicates with other Lifeguards, Instructors, and Management on any potential concerns related to the operation of the pool
• Assists with the setup/breakdown of pool equipment & electronics as directed by Management and will proactively safeguard and remove all equipment.
• Knows and enforces emergency procedures and safety regulations in order ensure member safety.
• Enforces club rules of safety and conduct.
• Performs other appropriate tasks or projects assigned by the Wellness Director, Pool Manager or Youth Director.
• Performs miscellaneous office responsibilities if needed.
• Implements team work and attends departmental staff meetings as scheduled.
• Is responsible for knowing CCC Employee Policies and working by the CCC Mission Statement.

Qualifications

• Swim team and swimming experience/background.
• Certification in CPR, First Aid and Lifeguarding is required.
• Swim lesson instruction experience or willingness to be trained
• Must have a passion and ability to responsibly work with young children with safety and security as the most important dynamic.
• Must be flexible, enthusiastic, patient, friendly and understanding.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to read, write, speak and understand English.
• Must have the ability to get along well with others and demonstrate a high level of sensitivity and interest
