Carolina Basement Systems is looking for a Carpenter to add to our growing team!

Work Hours & Benefits

40 hours per week, we are looking to add a skilled carpenter to our team. We offer a PFP bonus program on top of hourly pay and FULL healthcare benefits through Anthem. 80 Hours (2 Weeks) of ETO per year and 401k with matching. Vehicle and all tools needed will be provided for you to get the job done

Carpenter Job Responsibilities:

• Complete SUBFLOOR, FLOOR JOIST, LEVELING, MAIN BEAM, BAND BOARD, CRAWL ENTRY OPENINGS replacement/repair.
• Studies specifications in sketches, or building plans to prepare project layout and determine dimensions and materials required.
• Shapes or cuts materials to specified measurements, using hand tools, machines, or power saws.
• Follows established safety rules and regulations and maintaining a safe and clean environment.
• Builds or repairs frameworks, floors, or other wooden fixtures used in buildings, using woodworking machines, hand tools, or power tools.
• Assembles and fastens materials to make frameworks or props, using hand tools and wood screws, nails, or glue.
• Removes damaged or defective parts or sections of structures and repair or replace, using hand tools.
• Inspects problem areas sold to the customer to ensure the correct repairs will be in place.
• Moves necessary materials around jobsite as assigned.
• Cleans up worksite debris.

Qualifications

Carpenter Qualifications / Skills:

• Knowledge of all laws and regulations regarding home improvement/repair
• Capable of receiving and following instructions and communicating with co-workers
• Able to read and adhere to labels, safety warnings, and guidelines
• Attentive to detail and always alert to ensure safety
• High level customer communication skills

Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:

• High school diploma is an asset
• 4 years of experience in commercial or residential carpentry OR related field
• Ability to comprehend schematic diagrams, blueprints, sketches, building plans and other specifications
• Strong working knowledge of job site safety as well as ability to complete a company specific safety orientation
