Carnival Grocery operates hyper-local community markets. Our focus is on neighborhood store locations stocked competitively for every day needs as well as offering premium, organic and local goods.

We are seeking experienced cashiers for part-time and full-time positions. The position would most likely start out part-time and grow to full-time with experience. Due to the fact that we sell alcohol, applicant **MUST BE 21.**

The cashier part of the job requires excellent customer service, schedule flexibility, and retail knowledge. After a while, we are looking for someone who would be interested in working/learning about our deli operations.

Weekend availability is required. We promote from within, and the right applicants will find a permanent position in a growing business. We pay weekly, and offer an employee discount.

Cashier Job Description

• Retail experience/ POS experience a plus.
• Provide excellent customer service.
• Follow through on all customer questions, requests, and resolve concerns as needed.
• Self-driven, problem solving individual.
• Ability to visually examine products for quality and freshness.
• Basic to intermediate proficiency with computer applications and programs including email, Microsoft Office, and operations related applications.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Must be able to speak, read, and write English.

Desired Work Experience

• 2 years of customer service/cashier experience
• General grocery store experience

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $16.20 - $18.00 per hour
