Carnegie Mellon University is Hiring a Research Assistant (ds) - School of Computer Science - CSD Near Pittsburgh, PA

The CS Research Department within the School of Computer Science is seeking a Research Assistant to join the team. The Research Assistant will work with research projects related to computer architecture and operating systems.
Core Responsibilities:
  • Follows research plans in order to collect, record, and manipulate research data. Maintains accurate and detailed research records and files.
  • May test software prototypes. May interact with research subjects in order to perform job functions.
  • Performs basic data analysis in order to product reports. Documents results and processes.
  • Performs library research and field explorations.
  • Performs related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED required. Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • Previous experience in research, data collection, analysis, and record management preferred.
  • A combination of education and relevant experience from which comparable knowledge is demonstrated may be considered.
