Description

Position Summary:

This role will be primarily responsible for performing production equipment set-ups, change overs, cleaning and sanitations as applicable for an assigned area of responsibility. This role requires an individual able to execute tasks independently, able to deliver Production Ready systems from a set up and change over perspective. As part of the scope of responsibilities, the Set Up Technician will maintain and drive necessary improvements to PM plans and set-up check lists, ensure that assigned tooling is serviced at the appropriate intervals, stored properly, and inventoried effectively. This role will also be required to support general cleaning, sanitation tasks, assigned facilities tasks and overall support to the maintenance team as instructed.

Reports to:Reliability & Maintenance Manager

Functional Responsibilities:

  • Autonomously manage, plan and execute production equipment set up, change overs, and start-up troubleshooting.
  • Perform equipment set up, start-Up & required troubleshooting tasks to deliver a Production ready system.
  • Perform preventive maintenance (PM) duties for assigned equipment.
  • Create and maintain necessary PM checklists for assigned areas.
  • Develop and execute Continuous Improvement tasks following a PM and 5S discipline.
  • Implement and sustain 5S discipline in assigned areas.
  • Ensure a clear inventory of spare parts is in place, highlighting tooling location and condition.
  • Document relevant standard work for routine assignments.
  • Support facility safety-related improvements (e.g.: install signage, floor striping, etc.).
  • Perform other work-related duties as assigned.

Desired Skills & Qualifications:

  • Able to read, write, speak, and understand English fluently.
  • Able to understand and follow directions as given and intended.
  • Basic understanding of electrical, plumbing, and carpentry is a plus.
  • Must be detail orientated and able to maintain a clean work area.
  • Must be customer service oriented and able to work cooperatively in a team environment.
  • Ability to use common tools.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to work efficiently and effectively in either a team or individual basis
  • Experience in OTC or FDA controlled environment and GMP is preferred.
  • High level of internal contact working with all departments

Educational Qualifications & Required Experience:

  • Completion of High School or GED
  • Minimum of two years working experience in facility or production maintenance

  • Employee must be able to stand or walk for 8-10 hours in a work day.
  • Able to climb a ladder and step ladder.
  • Ability to function in highly stressful situations.
