Position: Gun Store Sales Associate

Responsibilities:

Customer Service:

Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner.

Provide expert guidance on firearm selection, accessories, and related products.

Address customer inquiries and concerns with accuracy and courtesy.

Sales and Product Knowledge:

Conduct sales transactions and process payments accurately.

Stay up-to-date on the latest firearms, ammunition, and accessories.

Demonstrate a strong understanding of safety protocols and legal regulations.

Firearms Handling:

Handle firearms responsibly and in compliance with safety guidelines.

Perform safety checks on firearms before and after customer interactions.

Provide basic firearm handling instruction to customers as needed.

Compliance and Regulation:

Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations regarding firearms sales.

Verify customer eligibility for purchasing firearms based on legal requirements.

Maintain accurate records of firearm transactions in accordance with the law.

Inventory Management:

Assist with inventory management, including restocking shelves and maintaining organized displays.

Conduct regular inventory counts and report discrepancies to management.

Store Maintenance:

Keep the store clean, organized, and visually appealing.

Assist with merchandising efforts and window displays.

Qualifications:

Proven experience in retail, preferably in a gun store or similar environment.

Strong knowledge of firearms, ammunition, and related accessories.

Excellent customer service and communication skills.

Familiarity with and adherence to firearms safety protocols.

Knowledge of federal, state, and local laws and regulations governing firearm sales.

Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Basic computer skills for processing sales transactions and maintaining records.

A Bi-Lingual speaker would be a great plus.

Education and Certification: High school diploma or equivalent required. Any additional certifications related to firearms safety or retail management would be advantageous.

Physical Requirements: The ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, stand for extended periods, and handle firearms safely.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 7.5 per week
