Carlton Arms of North Lakeland is Hiring an Apartment Housekeeper Near Lakeland, FL
Reports to: Maintenance Supervisor and/or Executive Director and/or Head Housekeeper
FLSA Status: Full-Time, Non-Exempt
The primary responsibility of the Housekeeper is performing duties associated keeping areas of the
property clean. In this role, the individual should maintain a positive rapport with co-workers, residents and provide a high level of detailed follow-up with the Executive Director. The Housekeeper position should display a proactive, positive attitude and perform all job functions as described below.
- Cleaning and vacuuming the clubhouse(s), offices, guardhouse, apartments and common areas, such as laundry rooms, restrooms and hallways.
- Cleaning windows on inside of building.
- Climbing stairs or working from a small ladder
- Using various cleaning supplies.
- Cleaning walls, baseboards, cabinets, windows, vents, appliances, bathrooms, flooring and light panels.
- Checking for damaged appliances and fixtures.
- Setting up models with soft goods and checking on their lighting and presentation
- Maintaining housekeeping equipment
- Rotating on-call weekends for cleaning clubhouses, laundry rooms and guests suites as needed. Laundering the seasonal and model linens.
- Operation of golf cart around the property.
- Stock toilet paper, hand soap, paper towels and gym wipes in all restrooms and fitness centers.
- Following safe workplace rules and practices in order to prevent on-the-job injuries.
- Ability to communicate with others in a clear and effective manner and to follow directions.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers and superiors.
- Ability to apply sound decision-making
- Ability to demonstrate teamwork by assisting co-workers
- Ability to communicate professionally and adapt interpersonal skills to a variety of audiences

- Stand, walk, sit, use hands and fingers to handle, feel or grip, and reach with hands and arms
- while performing standard duties.
- Frequently required to climb stairs, walk, talk, hear, and drive a golf cart while on the property.
- Occasionally lift and/or move up to 60 lbs.
- Frequently use common office equipment, telephone, computer, keyboard, mouse, two-way
- radio, and variety of different keys.
- Frequent bending, stooping, stretching, etc. while in the process of doing duties.
- Full-time position; Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
- 96 hours PTO accrued each year for first two years of service
- 136 hours of PTO each year after two years and above
- 176 hours of PTO accrued each year after 7 years of service
- 401K with 3% Employer Contribution
- Health/Dental/Vision/Life Insurance available after 30-day waiting period
- Good background required
- 90-day probationary period
