Position Description

The Finance Director is a high-visibility role within our Company. This professional will lead the financial analytics function for ongoing business assessment and critical decision making. Specific areas of focus will include leading the creation of the Company’s annual plan and long-range plan, preparing monthly/quarterly variance analysis, delivery of tailored reporting packages for the Leadership Team and the Board of Directors, and financial modeling for various business initiatives.

Continuous improvement in the quality and timing of financial-related deliverables, providing high-touch service to various parties, and recommending actionable steps for business advancement will be of critical importance for this role.

Responsibilities

• Elevate and scale processes and systems for forecasting and modeling to provide financial guidance for business decisions.
• Lead annual budget and quarterly forecasting processes.
• Prepare finance materials for use in quarterly BOD meetings.
• Partner with the leadership team to help translate business strategies and objectives into financial KPIs and goals.
• Partner with various departments to determine and support their specific financial analytic needs for business assessment and decision making.
• Prepare monthly/quarterly analysis for each department, including variance analysis, to identify opportunities for investment optimization.
• Support commercial operations analytics (revenue, COGS, etc.).
• Lead ongoing refinements of the Company’s financial model and long-range planning.
• Support Accounting team on month-end closing and quarterly filings, as needed.
• Lead/prepare other tailored financial models, reports, and special projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics.
• MBA or CPA preferred.
• 10 years of financial planning and analysis experience, including within publicly traded companies (medical device or other manufacturing experience is required; spine/orthopaedics sector experience is highly preferred).
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Comfortable in a dynamic environment.
• Methodical and organized approach to completing projects, with high attention to detail.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks with varying priorities.
• Capacity to work independently and collaboratively within a team-oriented environment.

Skills

• Mastery with Microsoft Excel in financial modeling.
• Proficient with FP&A and Accounting software and systems commonly used in the sector (preferably experienced with Adaptive Planning and NetSuite).

Compensation

We are pleased to provide a competitive salary and benefits. Our benefits reflect our investment in the overall health and well-being of our employees and their families. including paying 100% of monthly healthcare, dental & vision insurance premiums, a 401(k) plan with employer matching and unlimited PTO. The expected pay range is: $180K-$220K annually. Compensation may vary based on related skills, experience, and relevant key attributes.
