Carlisle Companies is Hiring a Safety coordinator Near Fresno, CA

Job Description

We are seeking a Safety Coordinator at our Henry facility in Fresno, CA. This position will be responsible for coordinating the safety activities throughout the facility.

This includes being directly responsible for the implementation, maintenance, and continuance of the facility safety, health policies, and procedures.

Duties and Responsibilities :

  • Oversees the safety program and initiates steps that will improve the level of safety.
  • Reviews and updates the safety policies and procedures in accordance with Company goals and in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and guidelines.
  • Makes sure all new employees are properly trained.
  • Reviews safety related documents and narratives such as Safety Committee minutes, inspection reports, forklift inspection checklist, accident investigation reports and near miss reports.
  • Maintains the OSHA 300 logs.
  • Maintains liaison between management and outside regulatory agencies in accordance with Company policy and statutory guidelines.
  • Chairs the safety committee.
  • Keeps records of all employee training, corrections of unsafe conditions, dates and results of workplace inspections.
  • Submits necessary documentation to the corporate office for recordkeeping.
  • Maintains all weekly, monthly, and yearly, safety inspections.
  • Maintains all hazardous material and hazardous material area checks.
  • Maintains the MSDS log book.

Education and Experience :

  • High school diploma required, college degree preferred.
  • Three years of experience.

Equipment Used :

Standard office equipment.

Working Conditions :

  • Significant time is spent on the production floor.
  • Exposure to extreme temperatures.
  • Monday Friday, 8 am 5 pm.
  • Starting pay 65K-70K, but could increase based on experience.

  • Basic mathematics skills.
  • Knowledge of SAP.
  • Knowledge of OSHA regulations and plant safety.
  • Knowledge of CPR and First Aid.
  • Knowledge of quality control.
  • Stormwater and Emissions Reporting

Education and Experience :

High school diploma required, college degree preferred. Three years of experience.

No travel is required for this position.
